M curious asked: There is no question the economic cycle affects insurance companies. When there’s less money around like now in the early 2009, insurance companies suffer.
But I learned that the more uncertainty about things, the better insurance firms perform, because they capitalize on uncertainties about the future. whether it’s a person’s life or natural hazards.
So my best guess for the question is a lot of cash flow in the market and a lot of uncertainty and fear about things for which they can be insured. Am I missing any thing else?
What can you say are optimal conditions for insurance companies to grow???

I went and got 4 estimates average price came around 3000$. The appraiser from progresive came and saw my car yesterday and wrote a estimate for 1280!!! I have a 2007 toyota matrix with 45000miles on it..He is putting after markets parts on in cuz its high miles,along with a used Rim from a junkyard for 95$…I called the manager and told him that your estimate is too low he said to take the car to a repair facility and have them fix it…My question is that I dont want to fix my car right now but i want to be paid fair price for the damages the it has caused. So how should I go about doing this. should I get a appraiser from my insurance company and have him appraise it…I basically want to keep the money that i deserve and fix the damages at some other time…

I have heard that there is a good market in Mexico for older machinery due to the lack of current technology. I am interested in finding out more about this in order to find a new market, as well as use this for a chance to be able to visit Mexico and make monye at the same time. I constantly see Meicans towing older vehicles down the interstate to Mexico. I would also like to know what the equipment would bring there compared to here. If there are any other ideas as to what I could do to be able to visit the country and make money at the same time along these similar lines they would be greatly appreciated.

I m an Architect, age 28 have been working in this company for 2 years now. From the 1st day I joined this company I already knew that it was going to bankrupt. But I stayed on to finish what I started. The company that I am working for is a construction company. As you know the payment is normally not very good. Sometimes the sub contractors will try to cheat the main contactors money. Now this company still owes other contractors from previous projects and is making the company more unstable. I completed my job last year when we hand over the 4.6 million project. Now I still see no improvement in the company but the dept’s are getting more and the worker are getting less. The only reason that I am still staying is because the bosses really trust me and support me. I feel much respected in this company and the pay is goods also.
Last month they started to retrench people I am worried that the next will be me. It seems that the older collogues are being retrench. 4 people from the administrative, design and marketing depart. What worries me is that when I came in this company there were 28 people as a team. Now there are only 6 people left and most of them have worked longer than me and there pay is also less than mine. This year we had shift to a smaller office their reason was that the location was not suitable. Should I leave first or stay and see what happens?
Thanks for the comments I tried interviewing a few company last year till now but the pay was not very satisfying to me and the position as well. I am also having a personal problem at home. My wife will be having a baby soon I am worried that if I find a new job now I won’t be able to concentrate financially and mental. It’s my first one and I want to give him or her the best I can .But if I stay company is bound to sink sooner or later. My wife doesn’t know about my problem if I told her she will be depressed. I don’t want that to happen especially with the baby is coming. If there fire me at lease I would be paid 3 month salary. Sometimes I wonder why this has to happen now. I m planning to sell my fathers house so we can have extra if I don’t get a job when the baby comes. It deferent here in Asia work is not that easy to come by.

I’m in my mid 20’s. I live in the South Shore MA area. I don’t pay rent and incur about $400 monthly expenses. I have a good full time job (+50K), some saved money (+10k) and good credit. I’m very organized, fairly well educated on the subject (a lot to learn) and i have friends who are listing agents and contractors.
Any feedback/contact would be appreciated

I am considered a 1099 for the company but they do not pay anything but the uniform they gave me. on a daily basis I would drive up to 100 miles that is job related. I am in college and I have no idea what to do as far as filing taxes where the 1099 is involved, so what can I do as far as claim and taxes?

The beginning of this writing is my fund for household urgently need an income for daily nees.
So, last month still ‘ve jobs but now stucked without job n t’ only income is fm my hub’s work as a contractor builder.
Heavy burden on my in-house finance made me doing IM (internet marketing) but can’t find steps on doing IM the better way – if somebody can help me with Internet Marketing the quickest way of success? I’ll be more than grateful!! But , I’ve tried a lot in the meantime – showing me the way to buy this n that I wouldn’t try again. Running an affiliate also making me not on the right track for easy income.
The one that I would do is – without fund but to have an income to my paypal – maybe somebody have a way-out? Help me pkease! Because I need money real bad for the housekeeping! and in fast steps – with little my little knowledge in IM. Thanks!
